Optical Bench

Principal Investigator: Dr. Paul Holloway
User Request Form

The optical bench comprises of a setup that can alternate between measuring transmission, photoluminescence, electroluminescence as well as photoluminescence excitation, all on the same bench. An array of detectors (Ge, PbS, PbSe, PMT etc) is used to span a range of measurable wavelengths, from UV to the far infrared. The bench is equipped with three light sources, a monochrometer, and a spectrometer capable of measurements of wavelengths from 290nm to as far as 22um.
